How to Enable DoorDash Delivery with SpotHopper

How It Works
DoorDash delivery through SpotHopper allows your restaurant to offer quick and reliable delivery without hiring or managing your own drivers. By enabling this feature, you’ll gain access to DoorDash’s professional driver network to handle deliveries placed directly through your SpotHopper online ordering system.
This integration only uses the DoorDash delivery service — it’s not connected to the DoorDash Marketplace. Your restaurant won’t appear in the DoorDash app, and customers will continue ordering exclusively through your website.
By enabling DoorDash for orders, you’ll only be leveraging DoorDash drivers to complete deliveries — not joining the DoorDash Marketplace.
Enabling DoorDash Integration
Once your SpotHopper's Online Ordering system has been activated, you can follow the steps below to enable the DoorDash Drive integration.
- Log in to SpotHopper, navigate to the "Online Orders" page under Sales & Inquiries, and click the Settings tab.

- Scroll down to the DoorDash section and click the "To Enable DoorDash Deliveries follow this link and fill the form" link.

This will redirect you to a DoorDash signup form. Enter your details and hit "Sign Up."

- On the next page, you will be prompted to fill out and sign the digital contract to activate DoorDash Drive.

After the contract is submitted, SpotHopper will complete the integration and notify you when everything is ready.
- Then, you will need to enable delivery orders and choose the "DoorDash Drivers" option on the Online Orders Settings page.

- Once you activate DoorDash Drivers, you will notice a few DoorDash-related fields that need to be filled out.

Usual Meal Prep Time – Sent to DoorDash as the pickup time and used to estimate the delivery window. (Delivery time = Meal Prep Time + approximately 15 minutes.)

Pickup Instructions for Driver – Add delivery notes or directions to help DoorDash drivers locate your entrance or parking area easily.

Restaurant’s Contact Phone Number – The number DoorDash drivers can call if they need to reach your team during pickup or delivery.

DoorDash Refunds Link – Opens a PDF that explains how refunds and invoice adjustments are handled.

- When all fields are complete, click the "Save" button in the lower right corner to start receiving delivery orders.
Important: You must have online payments enabled to use DoorDash. No other payment types are accepted. If you haven’t connected Stripe yet, click "Activate Banking/Online Payments" to set up online payments through Stripe.
