Managing Users

Ensure your team can see key info and assist you with managing inquiries, creating marketing campaigns, and more within the platform. Grant multiple users access to your SpotHopper account by following these steps.

Contents:

  1. Oversee Your 'Users'
  2. Add New Users to Your Platform
  3. Remove Existing Users
  4. Resend Password Reset Instructions (via Phone/Email)

Oversee Your 'Users'

1. From the left sidebar menu in your SpotHopper platform, click the Settings cluster and select Users from the dropdown menu.

2. On this page, you will see a list of all the users associated with your account, as well as the tools to manage them.

3. From the "Manage Users" screen you can complete a number of actions:

ADD NEW USERS

If you click "Invite People" you will be prompted to enter the new user's email address.

That user will receive an email with instructions to set their password, along with a temporary password:

Once they click "Sign In," they will have to log in with their email address and the temporary password they received in the initial email.

At the next step, they will be able to create their new password:

And that's it! After creating their new password, their credentials will be ready, and they can start using the SpotHopper platform.

After initially signing in, new users will also be asked to set a recovery phone number:

REMOVE EXISTING USERS

If you want to ensure that a past user will no longer have access to your SpotHopper account, use the 'trash can' icon, as highlighted in the image above.

RESEND 'PASSWORD RESET' INSTRUCTIONS VIA EMAIL OR PHONE
To send active users instructions to reset their password (in case they have forgotten their previous one), just click the email or phone icon, depending on where you want the notification to be sent.

You can also resend password-setting instructions to pending users who have never logged in this way.

Once the instructions have been sent, the user will receive an email with their temporary password:

Just like in the previous case, the user will have to initially sign in with the temporary password and create their new password at the next step.
