Obtaining Domain Login Instructions

What information about your domain does our SpotHopper team need to publish your brand new website?

Contents:
  1. Search for your Domain Host
  2. Forgotten Password

To publish your new website, we will need access to your domain, more specifically to DNS settings. Usually, domain and DNS are on the same account and below you will find instructions on how to get the necessary info and publish your new website.

Search for Your Domain Host With a 'Whois' Search

If you are not sure where your domain is hosted you can check it online. Go to https://www.whois.com/ and type your domain name in the search box.

In the second line, you can see the name of the provider that is hosting your domain. If registration is not private you will get info about contact details of a person who registered the

domain

Who is

Sometimes all the info will be available after copy/paste provided link into the URL bar if the registration is not private.

Who is-1

This should help you to get in touch with a person that registered your domain and probably can provide you login credentials.

Forgotten password

If you simply forgot username or password most providers will allow you to request a password reset via “Forgot my Password” link.

Depending on a provider you will need to fill in the username and/or email associated with the account and reset link will be sent. Try this tactic to recover access to your account.

Rarely, DNS settings (necessary in order to publish a new SpotHopper website) are not located in the same place as your domain host. This likely means that custom nameservers are set up elsewhere.

Therefore, when you log in to the account where your domain is hosted, please check if you have access to DNS settings. These settings allow SpotHopper to point your domain to our servers and publish your new site when everything is ready.
