Customize Your PDF Menu

The menus you create in SpotHopper can be customized and downloaded as printable PDFs. Follow the steps below to personalize the design of your menu before downloading and printing it.

To begin, open the PDF Menu Builder for the menu you'd like to print:

Navigate to the "Menu" tab within the "Menu & Content" cluster.
Find the menu you'd like to print, and click the "Print PDF" button.

You'll now see a live preview of your menu along with several customization options.

As you customize your menu, the preview updates automatically to reflect your changes. Use it to see how different styles, layouts, fonts, and other options will look before downloading your PDF.

Select the Menu Style

Select one of the available Menu Styles from the top of the page to change the overall design of your printable menu.

Use the left and right arrows to browse through additional styles, and compare how each one looks in the menu preview below.

Choose the Page Layout

Choose the page layout for your printable menu. Available options include:

Portrait
Landscape
Half-page Portrait Duplex
Half-page Landscape Duplex

Each layout changes how your menu is arranged on the printed page.

Add or Adjust Your Logo

If your printable menu already includes your restaurant's logo at the top of the page, you can adjust its size using the + and − buttons in the Add Your Logo section.

If your logo is not yet available, click "Add Your Logo."

This sends a request to the SpotHopper team to prepare your printable logo. Once it's ready, it will appear on the preview page and can be included in all future PDF downloads.

Choose the Font

The Change Font section on the right lets you choose the font used throughout your printable menu. Browse the available options and select the one that best matches your restaurant's branding and style.

Add a QR Code (Optional)

The Pick a Bonus Benefit section lets you add a QR code to the bottom of your printable menu for one of SpotHopper's Private Parties, Catering, or Jobs features. Guests who scan the QR code can submit an inquiry or apply for a job directly from their mobile device.

Simply choose the SpotHopper service you'd like to promote, and the corresponding QR code will be added to your printable menu.

Note: QR code options are only available for SpotHopper features that have been configured for your restaurant.

If the selected SpotHopper system (Private Parties, Catering, or Jobs) is enabled, the QR code will direct guests to that system's dedicated inquiry or application form.
If the SpotHopper system is disabled, but the corresponding inquiry or application is still available through your Contact Us form, the QR code will instead direct guests to the Contact Us form.
If the SpotHopper feature is not active at all for your restaurant, that QR code option will not appear on the PDF Menu page.

Download Your PDF Menu

Once you're happy with your menu design, click the orange "Download PDF" button in the bottom-right corner of the page.

A PDF version of your customized menu will be downloaded to your device, ready to print or share.
